Who it’s for

For the trades that need a way through the concrete

Plumbers, electricians and mechanical and HVAC contractors who need openings, penetrations and cores through concrete walls and slabs before they can run their lines. You mark the locations, we cut them there.

General contractors and building owners who need concrete cut as part of a renovation, a fit-out or a bigger demolition job.

We’re based in Toms River and work across Ocean and Monmouth County.

  • Core drillingRound holes in any diameter the job calls for, for plumbing, electrical and mechanical runs.
  • Cut where you markedOpenings and penetrations go where your layout puts them.
  • Cleanup afterThe same crews that do our post-construction cleaning clean up after the cut.

Before we cut

What we’ll ask you first

The more we know up front, the more accurate the quote and the smoother the day goes. When you call or fill out the quote form, we’ll ask about:

  • The marked locationsWhere each opening, cut or core goes, marked on the wall or slab or shown on the drawings, with the sizes and depths.
  • What’s in or under the concreteAnything you know about embedded utilities, rebar or post-tension in the slab or wall. Tell us before we cut.
  • AccessHow we get to the work, and anything we should know about the site.
  • Occupied or emptyWhether the building is in use while we’re there.
  • Your dateWhen it needs to be done, and which trade is waiting on it.

If you don’t know what’s in the slab, say so. That needs to be sorted out before cutting starts, not after.

Part of a bigger job?

Cutting and demolition, one company

Concrete cutting often comes up in the middle of something bigger: a commercial interior strip-out, a selective demolition where a wall or a section of slab has to come out, or a structural teardown. We do demolition too, mostly commercial interiors, so we can handle the demo and the cutting without you coordinating two contractors. See our demolition services.

On demolition jobs we can pull the permit, or work under one pulled by you or your GC. We don’t do asbestos abatement. If asbestos is present, it has to be handled by a licensed abatement contractor before demolition, and we start once that’s done.

Questions we get

Concrete cutting & core drilling FAQ

Straight answers. Anything else, call 908.907.3553.

What’s the difference between wall sawing, slab sawing and core drilling?

Wall sawing cuts openings in vertical concrete, such as walls. Slab sawing cuts horizontal concrete, such as floors and slabs. Core drilling makes round holes through a wall or slab, usually so pipe, conduit or duct can pass through. We do all three.

What core drilling sizes do you do?

Any diameter the job calls for. Tell us the size and depth of each core and how many you need, and we’ll quote it.

Do you clean up after cutting?

Yes. The same crews that do our post-construction cleaning clean up after the cutting, so the next trade doesn’t walk into a mess.

Do I need to mark the locations?

Yes. We cut where you marked, so whoever needs the opening or core should mark it on the wall or slab, or show it on the drawings. If you know of utilities, rebar or post-tension in the concrete, tell us before we cut.

Are you bonded and insured? Can you send a COI?

Yes. Everkleen is bonded and fully insured, and we can send a certificate of insurance naming you as additional insured the same day. Our NJ Home Improvement Contractor Reg. # is 13VH14106500.

Do you also do the demolition?

Yes. We do demolition too, mostly commercial interior strip-outs, plus selective and structural demolition. If the cutting is part of a bigger job, we can handle both.

What areas do you cover for concrete cutting and core drilling?

We’re based in Toms River and work across Ocean and Monmouth County, and anywhere in New Jersey for the right job.
